下焦湿热证

Cardinal Symptoms · 主症

• scanty dark painful urination
• red and white mucoid stools or burning sensation at the anus
• distension and pain in the lower abdomen
• edema of the lower limbs

Secondary Symptoms · 次症

• body heat and thirst
• yellow thick vaginal discharge

Etiology · 病因

Damp-heat pathogen pours down into the lower jiao, or damp-heat from the middle jiao descends and binds in the Bladder and Large Intestine.

Pathomechanism · 病机

Damp-heat pours down into the Bladder and Large Intestine; qi transformation fails, conduction is abnormal, and the vessels are scorched.
