Arriving without strength, yielding on pressure—soft and thin and deep, never seen at the surface.
极软而沉细，举之无有，按之乃得，应指软弱无力。
Extremely soft, deep, and thin; not felt on lifting, only obtained on pressing, yielding softly and forcelessly beneath the fingertip.
主气血不足、阳气虚衰。久病气血俱虚，阳气无力鼓动脉道，故脉弱。
Indicates insufficiency of qi and blood and waning yang. In chronic illness qi and blood are both deficient, and yang lacks the strength to drive the vessels—hence the weak quality.
