Thin and strung like a silk thread, it sinks firmly beneath the finger yet never breaks off.
As slender as a thread yet clearly felt beneath the finger, unbroken on pressure. The vessel path is narrow and the force somewhat diminished.
Indicates dual deficiency of qi and blood and various patterns of consumption; it also appears when dampness has taken hold. With insufficient yin-blood to fill the vessels, the pulse becomes thin.
