Dǎo Chì Sǎn

Guide Out the Red Powder

From Qian Yi's Craft of Medicinal Treatment for Childhood Disease Patterns, this formula treats Heart channel heat or Heart heat that has shifted downward to the Small Intestine. Sheng Di Huang clears heat and nourishes yin while Mu Tong and Zhu Ye clear the Heart and promote urination, guiding Heart fire out through the urine — hence the name 'Guide Out the Red.'
