Upper back pain presents primarily with pain in the dorsal region. The Du vessel and Bladder channel traverse the back, so back pain often relates to these channels.
Key differentiation: Wind-cold has stiff taut pain with chills; blood stasis has fixed stabbing pain; qi vacuity has dull persistent pain worsened by exertion.
