Chest Bi pattern presents with chest oppression and pain that may radiate to the back. The pathomechanism involves obstruction of the Heart vessels. It corresponds roughly to coronary heart disease and angina in modern medicine, typically featuring root vacuity with branch repletion.
Key differentiation: Qi stagnation shows mainly chest oppression with wandering pain; blood stasis has fixed stabbing pain with purple tongue; phlegm-turbidity presents as suffocating tightness in obese patients; yang vacuity shows pain with cold aversion and cold limbs.
