柴葛解肌汤

Chái Gé Jiě Jī Tāng

Bupleurum and Kudzu Decoction to Release the Muscle Layer

Treats exterior wind-cold that has depressed and transformed into heat, a classic formula for combined disease of the three yang. Chai Hu and Ge Gen release the muscle layer as sovereigns, supported by Huang Qin and Shi Gao to clear interior heat while Qiang Huo and Bai Zhi scatter exterior cold — addressing all three yang simultaneously.
