The dried root of Angelica dahurica or A. dahurica var. formosana (Apiaceae). Enters the Lung, Stomach, and Large Intestine channels. Pungent and warm, it is fragrant and ascending, with particular affinity for the yang-brightness channel. It is the essential herb for yang-brightness headache, supraorbital pain, and deep-source nasal congestion, while also drying dampness to stop vaginal discharge and reducing swelling to expel pus.
解表散寒,祛风止痛,通窍燥湿
内服煎汤3–10g;外用适量,研末撒或调敷。
