The dried tuber of Alisma plantago-aquatica subsp. orientale (Alismataceae). Enters the Kidney and Bladder channels. Sweet, bland, and cold, it is one of the 'three draining' herbs in Liu Wei Di Huang Wan, simultaneously promoting urination and draining Kidney fire. This dual action of draining fire while preserving yin is considered a subtle clinical refinement.
利水渗湿、泄热作用较强
引药下行，增强泻肾火之力，多用于阴虚火旺证
煎服6–10g，大剂量可用至30g（降脂、利水）
